Prerequisites: In Search of Faeries, AF Bottled Spirit

   Visit the waterfall in Gato Grottoes; Escad is waiting here. First, talk to the faerie, who will advise you to see Pokiehl to hear the whole story. Then talk to Escad and he departs. Leave Gato and trek to the Ulkan Mines.

   Pokiehl will be waiting just inside the mines. Talk to him to begin the quest; you're transported into the past to witness a series of scenes with Irwin and Matilda. Head through the mines as usual until you reach B2. Descend the stairs in the lower-left corner, proceed through the next screen of stairs, and continue left. You'll come out on B3.

   Go left one screen into a room with geysers. Another flashback occurs here. When it concludes, collect the Sulpher from the chest and go back the way you came. Exit to the southeast this time, pass through the next screen, and descend the stairs to the lowest level of the mine. The final flashback occurs here.

   Your hero will then wake up back in the present. Escad offers you the choice of siding against or for him, or trying to remain neutral; the last option has the same result the first. The choice you make here doesn't seem to have any repercussions down the line, so go ahead and side with him to get out of a fight.
