Before Cloud, Aeris, and Tifa, and even before Locke and Celeste, there were these guys: an unnamed fighter, an unnamed white mage, a black mage, and of course, the chocobo. Actually there was the unnamed thief too, but he didn't make it into the picture for reasons I'll get into later. This illustration is based on the first Final Fantasy. Pardon the innaccuracies but I had to take a lot of creative liberties in depicting the characters since I only had memory of the little, two toned, 2D sprites to work off. I unfortunately could not get a hold of any control art and I no longer have my NES. This explains why the thief is missing: I never used him in the game so I can't remember what he looked like. All I remember is that he became a Ninja after the job class switch.
