Cid's one of my favorite characters, but I get frustrated often by folks referring to him as 'old', especially when Barret's even older. *ahem* But, I digress. I wanted a slightly different look for Cid, than what's usually portrayed... I still wanted a bit of that crankiness, but a more, hrm, relaxed tone, if that sounds right. This was also the first piece of mine that I used Paintshop Pro to color... I wanted kind of a light, airy feel to the color, without having to use any fancy filters or layer tricks.
