Artist's Commentary
If there's one character that has intrigued me
from day one, it was Seifer. The guy looks like he started off as a
decent if not competetive young man, but ended up sacrificing
friendship and emotions for power. But why be so hostile towards
Squall in particular? As the story goes, Squall and Seifer square off
(say that a few times) and Squall gets a gun-blade in the face. As
Seifer backs off, Squall returns the favor. So I thought, what would
it be like right after that moment, both of them bloodied, eyes locked
, the birth of a life-long hatred. Squall knows Seifer could probably
have his head and he's just scarred him right across the face.
