One of my favorite scenes in the game was the cut scene with the coin toss between the Figaro twins. One reason was the wonderful music - the other was the bonding between the two very different brothers. I'm a sucker for emotional scenes, and this one instantly made the Figaro twins my favorite (for the time being).
This, however, has nothing to do with the picture... my rendering of Sabin started out as a simple figure study of a reclining male figure, and it gradually resembled him so much that I turned it into Sabin. (That's why his claw my seem so hastily added.) For Edgar, I wanted to make sure that his kingly and much more medieval attire contrasted with Sabin's tank and jeans, which represents the mixed evolution of humankind after the War of the Magi. Their eyes both look towards the same general direction...perhaps they await adventure together? I don't answer all questions in my artwork; some things are better left unknown.
