Artist's Commentary
Well, I did this for a friend. They wanted me to draw a slightly depressing scene of Norris being
defeated in leg braces while sitting on a chair. In my vision of the final product, I used a sword instead
of guns, because you can still shoot a gun while sitting. To use a sword well, that's a different story.
He is imobile and saddened by this and cannot get up. His eyes do not completely focus on his legs
but look more to the left, as if to avoid them. His chair is purposely askew to create a warped look for
he is also in a light as if he is being questioned, questioned of his purpose. Why me? Why have I
been crippled? It's a bit of a sad piece. But I'm proud of it.
