Artist's Commentary
As you can see, the inspiration for this piece came from FFVIII's cover. I
originally wanted to use Kingdom Hearts characters with King Mickey looming
on top, but I remember when Yuna and Tidus were first exposed, a lot of
people whined about how they are Rinoa and Squall reincarnated. I don't
think they look that much alike. I felt the FFX characters fit in this kind
of composition better than Kingdom Hearts characters, so this is what
happened. All four characters were done in Painter 6. The background is from
the Tidus/Yuna in the water wallpaper at FFX official site. I just did some
editing in Photoshop. There is an original version, without the Photoshop
editing done, at my website.
