Artist's Commentary
This was just an idea I decided to build on...It started,
as usual, as a couple messy (really messy) sketches, went to tracing
paper, then scanned into and colored in Photoshop. If you think about
it, the FFVII characters would fare wonderfully well in a tournament
fighting game: Their Limit Breaks are perfect special and super moves.
I plan on doing some other interesting matchups too, but this was the
easiest I could think of... It's possible that Tifa will get her guard
up fast enough to block the surprise hadoken, but, if not, it's first
strike to Ryu (not that Ryu would be so dishonorable to surprise an
opponent...perhaps Tifa just isn't very observant).
