Artist's Commentary
When I was younger I lived on a farm a ways out of
Walla Walla.
On summer days I would pack a picnic lunch and sit by
a creek in the
shade of a grove of trees a mile or so from the
house. This was the
inspiration for the picture. I chose Ramza because
he was an innocent
character, sorta like me (when I was younger).
