Amulet Artist: Tania Giroux Media: Mechanical pencil, plain paper (just a touch of Photoshop) Artist's Commentary It's been a while since I picked up a mechanical pencil and this is the result... I immensely enjoyed Janus / Magus as a character, mostly because he played out every one of his personas with vanity and disdain; cool, cold, and full of contempt (plus he had that purple cat). Yet he was also emotionally vulnerable when he saw his world suddenly crumble around him. I was especially taken by the love and loss of his sister. This is what I tried to illustrate here: that there were many moments in his life where only thoughts of Schala kept him going.   « Previous Back to gallery Next »
