Artist's Commentary
Greetings! "Tina" is my first entry to the GIA and it's also my very most recent fanart. I felt like doing Tina since she is one of the most interesting characters in Final Fantasy VI. Take note that she is so far the only female lead character in the series. I like her backround too -- abused and controled because of her mysterious power, and is therefore very frail in the begining. Then after a hard quest to find true love, she is willing to risk her own life to save her comrades at the very end.   The picture itself was fun in the making and the result pleased me. It was difficult to make the fire and at the same time getting that moving effect. Her clothes are inspiered by the ones drawn by the great Yoshitaka Amano, but with slight changes. Do you recognice the backround? Yes, that is where you for the very fist time get the pleasure of hearing the music of "Tina".   The scene was almost immediatly obvious to me -- protecting herself and those whom she love with her power, her position reveiling devotion, became the result.   I would also like to dedicate this piece to another artist that I've been writing to, promising to send my art to the GIA. And I wonder if she likes it?   I love the Final Fantasy series and other good quality RPGs. So feel free to write to me with comments on my piece or other things.
