Artist's Commentary
This is a picture of Cloud Strife. I can't remember what game he's from,
though. I had noticed that there are lots of pictures of Cloud posing
serenely, but not so many showing his trademark mental anguish, so I drew
him having one of his unpleasant psychotic episodes. Although I think I got
the expression just right, the composition isn't so great.
The lyrics are from the 29-minute-long single "Art of Life" by X-Japan
(hence the title), which I have been listening to constantly for the past
few days. The lyrics really reminded me of Cloud.
Also, my birthday is the same as Cloud's (August 19), so you should give me
a prize.
