Artist's Commentary
Last night I was goofing about on Adobe and reading Sluggy Freelance (an awesome online comic at www.sluggy.com), and popped over to the GIA to see what was new. It was then that I discovered the GIA's preview of Vib Ribbon for
the PSX. Needless to say it had a certain impact on my sleep-deprived and under-medicated mind. After viewing the four movies and reading about the game, I headed off to bed with a seriously weirded-out head. Then I had the most
awful nightmare of my life (well, since that one where I was being laughed at by all my peers as I stood covered in pig's blood at the Prom...). I woke with the need to cleanse myself of the horrific images in my mind.
To this end I created my first-ever completely computerized artwork, "Vibri Attempts To Navigate Black Sabbath's ' Paranoia'" in a semi-delirious state. I
don't know if this classifies as a fan image, since I drew it to get it out of my mind... It was done with Adobe 5.5 and lots and lots and lots of coffee. I'm afraid to close my eyes (...the rabbit will come sing to me if I go back to sleep...o god...)
