I bought a digital camera mainly to help out with the GIA's E3 2000 photo album, but it's come in handy lots of other times too.
- Anime Weekend Atlanta 7 cosplay photos
Taking pictures of nice costumes was probably the most fun I had at the convention, which is probably why there are 19 pictures here.
- My Room
New photos of my dorm room, 215 Howry Hall. Living alone means more book space!
- Bed - Mostly made, this time. Plus some more posters, including Kazuma Kaneko art for Persona 2 and a lovely Final Fantasy VIII wall scroll illustrating the main triangle.
- Bookshelf and dresser - My room is fairly teeming with books, as you can see by these photos. This is the new dresser for the dorms, which I was happy to discover holds all of my clothing instead of a little bit of it.
- Sink and mirror, another bookshelf - Nothing very interesting here, sorry.
- Refrigerator, another bookshelf - On the top shelf here you can see all of my textbooks. The Japanese lit books outnumber the rest of my courseload by about 3 to 1. Below that is my staggering Lone Wolf and Cub collection, which I ought to put a stop to. Up top are Beth Orton, Bjork, Shonen Knife, and Sleater-Kinney watching over my minifridge.
- Gaming consoles/computers - On the left are two of my three computers, only one of which (the Windows machine) is turned on right now. The other one is a little-used Linux box that I have a feeling might see a little more action this semester as I take a class in that operating system. On the right is my beloved console gaming setup, featuring a SNES, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, NES, and ... two PlayStation 2s, one import and one domestic. I love the GIA with all my heart and $500 of my money, yes I do.
- Computer and stereo - Here's the desk where my monitor and speakers sit--a considerably nicer desk than last year, I might add. Having a nice little party all around the setup are Amigo, Linda, Raichu, Tonberry, and a Servbot.
- Rug - Just for Mom!
- University of Mississippi Campus, Spring 2001
How can a campus be that much more beautiful than its inhabitants?
- Lee's party
Lee Ponton's recent birthday party, where he turned 19.
- Myself
No vanity page is complete without pictures of yourself, right?
- Karaoke 2000 - A karaoke party in California that some gaming industry people threw over the summer. L-R: Janice Ta, Andrew Vestal, Rob, Dan Hsu, Andrew Burwell, and me
- Halloween 1999 - Me in a Squall Leonhart costume.
- Christmas 1999 - A bunch of my high school friends get together over the holidays. L-R: Mike Chen, me, Abbey Green, Margaret Shyr, Lee Moore, Thomas Kang, Will Kang, Will Findley.
- Plain picture - This was a picture taken for my GIA caricature.
- Goofy pic - Sort of unkempt in this picture. Taken at the end of my senior year in high school.
- New Year's Snow
I realize that, to some visitors here, snow isn't such a big deal. For them I should explain that these pictures document the second time in my life that snow has fallen on Lafayette, Louisiana.
- Christmas 2000
Christmas at my grandmother's house. My mother's side of the family is quite large; I've got over a dozen first cousins, most of whom you can see in these photos.
- LSMSA 2000
Photos from the second annual unofficial reunion of my residence hall friends in Prudhomme 1A.
- History 399
Some pictures of my classmates and professor in an intersession class I took over the summer. It was a pretty interesting class, and also pretty brutal. (I've forgotten most of their names, because I only knew them for a couple weeks, and it's been a few months since then. I'm so bad with names.)
- Japanese 102 cookout
The spring 2000 end-of-year party for our Japanese class. Hamaie-sensei is teaching somewhere else now; Mariko Shimizu is the new professor.
