They Might Be Giants
Flood

They Might Be Giants is one of the greatest bands in existence. Flood is probably their greatest album. The craziest thing about They Might Be Giants is what's below the surface; after ten or fifteen listens to their songs, each one suddenly reveals itself to be actually *about* something. (Usually.) We Want A Rock is about the silliness of fads, Someone Keeps Moving My Chair is about the virtues of steadfastness in the face of adversity, and Minimum Wage is about minimum wages. The question now is, did I discover these meanings after careful consideration or after a steady bludgeoning of of my wits?
