Given the depth of my love for the Pixies, and given that half of this is a best-of collection, I'll mostly ignore disc 1 here because it'll be redundant once I have all the other albums posted. Which leaves disc 2, one of my favorite concert albums ever. I've heard tell from some (and it seems, IMO, to be borne out by the tepid BBC sessions disc) that the Pixies were not as good live as they were in the studio. Which makes Death disc 2 is either an abberration or a pretty potent argument otherwise. Worth it for the non-album "Into the White" and the fiery "Vamos," featuring some of the best guitar of Joey Santiago's career.
