Hysteric Blue
Baby Blue

This album is like a sugar rush in aural form. Up to and including RUSH!, every song gets progressively more and more sweetly manic and bouncy. The music is good, but as with most J-Pop, it's hard to pay attention past the lead singer's vocals. Her name is Tama. She has a very cute singing voice and a face to match, but the best songs are the ones where she drops the cuteness, lets loose, and belts out the lyrics with all the force she can muster--Candy and Pokapoka benefit greatly from this technique, as well as Little Trip. The last two songs are slower and apparently meant as a winding-down process, but by that point I'm usually having too much fun to stop, so I go back to P.O.T. '99. (Which stands for Power of Teens, by the by, not any unsavory sort of medication.)
