Björk
Post

Björk is one of my favorites, and Post is an excellent reason why. The best albums in this giant collection here require no relistening to write about, and indeed I vividly remember every song here. (Except "You've Been Flirting Again"--huh?) One of the best parts of Post is the way no two songs really sound alike; she'll go from the hard, confrontational "Army Of Me" to the softer, more urgent "Hyper-ballad" directly to the more soothing "The Modern Things." And "It's Oh So Quiet" sounds like it belongs on another planet, let alone another album. Her videos are uniformly excellent too, but this is a CD review, not a video critique.
