Beck
Midnite Vultures

Probably my least favorite of the three Beck albums I own, just because it's such an odd duck. I'm not much into the whole "maximum love" R&B field that it's sending up, so the joke is lost on me. The music is as good as ever, though, and a good song like "Pressure Zone" or "Hollywood Freaks" emerges once in a while when he's not doing genre spoofs. Not much else to say about this one, except that it didn't work as well as a "car album" as I thought it would. I should have stuck with Odelay. (Side note: only just now, when typing up the track listing, did I notice the titular progression from "Nicotine & Gravy" to "Peaches & Cream" to "Milk & Honey." Weird.)
