Brian Glick was investigating several RPG news leads when he received a mysterious phone call. The caller insisted on meeting Brian in an old, abandoned downtown-Toronto warehouse where classified information might be divulged. Brian was perplexed: the deep, scratchy voice matched none of his previous informants'. Nevertheless, he set out for the rendezvous point, always eager for the latest scoop.

   "Hello? Is anyone there?" called Brian, peering about the room uncertainly. Before he could react, Brian was clubbed unconscious from behind and hauled into a waiting black Volkswagen Beetle. When he awoke in a secret underground facility in Washington, D.C., his black-suited captors introduced themselves as the GIA. The men apologized for the harsh treatment and explained who they were and the causes they fought for. Pleading for someone with his skills to join them, Brian accepted - on the condition he get his very own black Beetle.
